How Can We Help?
SAFE PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES
Only registered members and participants of the Elite programs are insured under the academy’s insurance policy. Parents and siblings of registered members whom are not registered in academy programs are exempt from any of the academy’s insurance benefits.
During training sessions and games, parents MUST remain to the designated seating areas and are not allowed to enter the activity (Training or Games) ground for any reason unless called upon.
Parents and siblings of athletes participating in training or games MUST refrain from sitting near nets and avoid the risk of getting hit with balls and should be vigilant at all times.
ALL exits and areas of high traffic MUST remain clear at all times.
When teams are training in smaller facilities such as gyms, parents are required to comply with gym use guidelines and refrain from staying anywhere inside the facility with the exception of the designated staff. Furthermore, any staff and/or parent designed to on-site support duties such as door watch, MUST remain on-site until ALL children have been picked up by their respective parents.
In facilities where parent attendance is permitted, parents MUST remain to the designated area and avoid interfering with any part of the session. Typically, the waiting area is located near the entrance of the facility in use. In the absence of such waiting area, parents will need to leave their kids with the staff for the duration of the session and return 15 minutes prior to the session conclusion.
In the event a child is required to be helped/carried off the field, a male and female adult MUST be present at all times.
At the end of every training session, all participants, parents and respective siblings MUST vacate the premises in an orderly manner at all times.
During the winter season, players, parents and siblings must use extra care in the parking lots of the facilities in use to prevent slips and falls, as well as being vigilant for moving traffic.
Athletes who may be ill or have sustained an injury that requires absence from a minimum of 2-3 consecutive training sessions will be required to go through a full week of physical activity reintegration process, before qualifying for competitive match play at the coaches discretion.
Concussion protocol MUST be followed at all times. Upon an evaluation, and athlete is deemed to have possibly sustained a concussion, he/she will be removed from ALL physical activities and may only be reintegrated upon all the recovery checkpoints have been cleared.
Where a history of repeated concussions may exist, a written letter from a doctor MUST be provided for full clearance.
Ultimately it is the sole responsibility of every one individually to comply with safety regulations, however, Elite staff reserves the right to request the removal of any player, parent, sibling and any other person in attendance deemed responsible for unsafe practices and potential physical or health risks to any other person(s) in attendance.
