How Can We Help?

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

< All Topics
PLAYER SAFETY ABOVE ALL
The safety of our players, parents and siblings will always remain our highest priority. Our inclement weather policy is intended to set forth a set of guidelines that all players, parents and coaches MUST adhere to at all times to ensure the safety of all.
UNPLAYABLE CONDITIONS
Brampton Elite Soccer Academy primarily uses local city maintained and supervised fields, as well as our own private facility at the AthELITE Centre. If an outdoor or indoor field is deemed unplayable or unsafe, the respective resources will notify the academy between 3:00PM and 5:00PM. It is based on that directive that a final decision will be made on the status of training or games. Once that decision is made, staff will update the academy’s Team Management system and notify all parents and players accordingly.

With everyone safety and well-being at top of priorities, we reserve the right to cancel training and/or games due to inclement weather and/or safety concerns. Rescheduling of such event (training or game) is not mandatory.

WHO AND WHAT DETERMINES PLAYABLE STATUS OF A FIELD
With everyone safety and well-being at top of priorities, we reserve the right to cancel training and/or games due to inclement weather and/or safety concerns. Rescheduling of such event (training or game) is not mandatory.

From time to time academy staff may decide to cancel a training session where staff may deem the current conditions a risk to the player such as combination of cold and rain, forecast of thunder, etc.

PARENTS MUST REMAIN ACCESSIBLE AND/OR AT THE FIELD IF THE FORECAST PRESENTS RISK
In the event risk of thunder presents itself or in the forecast on any given day, parents MUST remain accessible and present at the field to quickly act, if a safety risk presents itself. ALL participants (players, coaches and spectators) MUST evacuate the area and seek shelter immediately.

If you have not been notified and are wondering whether a game is still on, we recommend that you still show up to the field. Once at the field, a decision can be made at the discretion of the referee and/or coach.
